#BestCarass : House Cat

About five or so months ago, the pet cat to one of my parents' neighbors passed away under a abandoned trailer. And nothing was ever done with it.
Every other week, I would check on it. Seeing it slowly decompose was fascinating. Starting off as a beautiful orange, and seemingly healthy, house cat; it would expand for about a week. That's when it began to smell, but not for long. Then it seemed almost normal again, if not for the now glazed over eyes. Then the fur started to settle and lay flat, as insects continued to feast. Every week, it got thinner and thinner. And the fur began to fall off, revealing the thin skin. One day, the fur was gone, along with all insects, including ants.
Oddly enough, although it passed away in a fully visibleocations, no other animals touched it. Including the buzzards. Even my parents' cats, neighbor dogs ignored it, raccoons, and opossums ignored it completely. It wasn't until the poor animal had fully dried out, did any explore it. One day, I noticed a front leg had been pulled off, but not moved far. Today, I've found it has rotated 90° counter-clockwise, and about a foot from it's original position.
Out of respect, I avoided taking photos as it decayed. I also don't think anyone would want to see the gruesomeness. But now that he is so dry, even after a recent large rain storm, I believe it is okay. I don't know what to do with it at this point. Let it remain untouched by man? Bury It? Or wait for more skin to rot and harvest the bones for display? Would that be disrespectful? I never cared for this cat, as it would often steal food from my parents' cats or fight them. That said; I have no clue what killed it. I remember seeing it calmly walking to and laying down in that spot. Not thinking much of it. Then it was just dead the next day. We'll never know what happened.
see the that.
